I am a Perth based violinist and teach out of my home in the Floreat. I studied music at the University of Western Australia under Paul Wright and completed four years of study at the Australian National Academy of Music under Dr Robin Wilson. I was a founder and violinist of the Partridge String Quartet and performed at the Port Fairy Spring Music Festival and Canberra International Music Festival. I was selected as part of the Australian Chamber Orchestra’s ‘Emerging Artist’ programme in 2019 and performed with the Australian World Orchestra in 2021 for their 10th Anniversary Season. I’m currently on trial as a Tutti Violin for the West Australian Symphony Orchestra. I have been playing the violin for 23 years and was brought up with the Suzuki Method under Amanda Dryborough and Jasmine Trebse graduating at Level 9. I am currently undergoing a Suzuki Teacher Training program to achieve a Primary Accreditation. I teach 3-17 year olds at a beginner, intermediate or advanced level. During my lessons I will help students learn and improve violin technique and posture, musicianship, music reading and theory. I usually teach the Suzuki Method but am open to other methods used by students with previous experience. My students are also encouraged to participate in small group classes and concerts within my teaching studio with my other students. My rate is $75/hour, $65/45min, $40/30min. My schedule is flexible but I find it important to maintain a consistent weekly lesson. Please contact me if you or your child would be interested in learning this wonderful instrument, I can’t wait to hear from you!
